Fun DIY: Polka Dot Denim!

Hi sweeties! so I know I have been mia for a while but so much is happening right now ...anyway I am back to share with you a fun but a little time consuming diy project I decided to tackle..these jeans!. Ive seen fashionistas rocking these polka dot demin and ive been loving em! but the few ive seen are waay too overpriced so I decided to do them myself.

What do you need?:

1. A pair of jeans- this can be light or dark washed denim. I purchased these light kinda stone washed denim from the thrift store for $3. Note,  ive gotten the clothing items for all my diy projects at thrift stores this is because if  it doesn't work out the way I want I wouldn't have wasted too much money.

2. White Fabric Paint- you can purchase this at any craft store, I got mine at Joann's for $3.

3. Skinny Paint Brush- again from Joann's , I don't recall how much they were but Im sure they weren't more than $5 and the great part is ..its a whole pack so you have extra for other projects.

4. Circle Stencil: This I bought from Office Depot for $5.99

and then you get to work! This project took me a total of 4 days (not continuously) to complete but a little less than 30 minutes to do  one side of a leg. When I just started, I tried to follow a pattern but stopping then picking up the next day (or 2 days)....well I lost the pattern...lol. As you can see, I eventually completed it ..what do you think??

P.S. Some of you were curious about the durability of the fabric paint after a wash, well it is recommended (in the directions on this paint) to wait 72 hrs before washing so I did, for additional safety I turned the jeans inside out and didn't put it in the dryer.

Pacman Lace

Top: Thrifted
Skirt: Forever 21
Bag: Meyer
Heels: Fahrenheit

Hi lovelies! hope you are having a great weekend! According to the last post, I should be updating with day 2 &3 at the parks but sadly my memory card got corrupted and all I am able to see right now are the videos. I am now trying to retrieve as many of the pics as I can..anyway this is a little outfit I wore a couple weeks ago. I love these layered lace skirt for spring. I have them in black (seen here), navy blue, pink and white. For this look, I decided to pair the black one with my thrifted pac man t-shirt that I found (brand new tags and all) at my local thrift shop for $2 and my platform pumps...what do you think?

Park Day 1

As a part of our anniversary celebration we visited the universal parks in Orlando. It was a pretty fun day (s) and I realize that no matter how old I get i will never get tired of roller coasters..lol.... my body, on the other hand, now that is a whole  different issue, lol...i mean i get headaches on the rides now and i didn't before and boy am i  tired at the end of the day..Exhausted!!!!.
I know in my first park post (Busch Blues), some of you were surprised that I  "dress" up to go to the parks..well i do although i wouldn't exactly call it "dressed" up. I do wear makeup maybe not a full face..forexample eye shadow etc..but i always wear my bb cream everywhere(Maybelline) especially because it has sun screen, mascara is a must (scanty eyelashes), i do my brows (as best i can..lol..and that's not saying much), and i slap on some pink punch Maybelline babylips lip balm (a walking ad for Maybelline right?). I  always wear cloth shorts (rather than denim) because i find them easier to walk in and actually more comfortable too. I always try to wear a lose fitting top especially if my visit is in the spring/summer when the heat is brutal!! and a pair of flats (usually ballet flats sometimes sandals). Finally, i have to take a "big" bag because my hubby has to stuff everything in his pockets in there before we go riding. Usually, i like to take a small cross body bag. Anyway, this is quick snippet of the first day ...what do you think?.
